Determine where the shot came from is a task in Disco Elysium.

Where could the shot that killed the hanged man have come from—if not from the roof? This will take some checking out of locations.
Walkthrough[ | ]
- This is a quest that will take a while to complete. With Visual Calculus and knowledge that the victim was shot, you can start figuring out likely firing positions:
- Check Land's End for bullet traces:
- Check boardwalk for bullet traces:
- Check island for bullet traces. This is only available in the endgame, when you arrive at the Sea Fortress and can access the east side of the island. In the ruined bunker is a mattress. Interact with it and determine this is where the shot came from.
- Otherwise, if you don't have Visual Calculus, you'll need a map (from the bookstore) and use it on Klaasje's window.
